To further advance international technological exchanges and cooperation in agriculture and boost the innovative development of China's agricultural biotechnology industry, on April 14, 2026, a 9-member delegation paid a special visit to Syngenta Biotech Italy for an on-site inspection. The delegation was headed by Associate Professor Wang Jiaqi from the College of Resources and Environmental Sciences, China Agricultural University, and comprised Ecountri project member Associate Professor Mu Kangguo, as well as technical directors from Henan Fulian Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shandong Duofen Agriculture Co., Ltd., and Lige (Shandong) Network Technology Co., Ltd.
This visit aims to build an international cooperation bridge between universities and enterprises, learn advanced technologies and research experience from world-leading agricultural biotechnology companies, and promote in-depth connections between domestic agricultural enterprises and internationally renowned corporations.
In the morning, technical staff from Syngenta Italy delivered a special technical report to the delegation, comprehensively sharing the company’s core technologies, research achievements and application advantages in agricultural biotechnology.
Accompanied by the company’s staff, the delegation then visited the professional greenhouses and research laboratories one after another, observed advanced agricultural research facilities and equipment at close range, gained a thorough understanding of the company’s full-process research system from technological research, experiments to achievement transformation, and learned deeply about cutting-edge international agricultural research models and standardized research procedures.
In the afternoon, the delegation held a special negotiation meeting with marketing directors of Syngenta Biotech Italy and its Mexican agents.
The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on key topics including the core advantages, technical parameters, market layout, and application scenarios of the company's agricultural products. The delegation gained a thorough understanding of the company's product portfolio, global market expansion strategies, and overseas market operation experience, laying a solid foundation for follow-up cooperation.
This trip to Italy represents an important practice for the Ecountri project in promoting international exchanges on agricultural science and technology and deepening multi-party cooperation among universities and enterprises.
During the visit, the delegation, supported by the project platform, broadened its global vision of agricultural science and technology, and gained in-depth insights into advanced experience and standardized procedures of world-leading enterprises in core areas such as large-scale research and biological testing.This has laid up valuable practical experience for the further progress of scientific research and the transformation of technological achievements under the Ecountri project.
