Job Title：Senior Agronomist, ICL China
Role’s purpose
To support, guide and innovate:
• Provide scientific and technical guidance/support for Polysulphate sales
• Provide technical support for new ICL’s MOP grades (P4G program) and implement program for penetration
• Upon needs and availability:
o provide support for YTH in promoting new products in China
o Provide support for ICLSF activities
• Oversee all ICL’s ag activities in China
Main responsibilities
• Initiate and execute research and promotion work plans with customers and research/promotion cooperators :
o set detailed work plansfor technical support for Polysulphate and branded potash
o manage related budgets
o enable tangible deliverables
o develop extensive research and promotion networking to enable sales
• Teaching, presenting, publishing
o involve in hands-on training of customers and ICL field agronomists in China
o present agronomic research achievements
o write and publish papers in peer review and general journals (English and Chines)
o Assist and coach junior ICL’s agronomists
• Support ICL core agronomy research
o provide agronomy skills to ag R&D efforts
o monitor evaluation tests for new materials
o write and publish papers in peer review and general journals (English)
Interfaces
• Internal interfaces: Shanghai office; CAO Israel, YTH, ICLSF(report, update, liaise, educate; receive inputs and market requirements)
• External Interfaces: direct and potential customers; farmers and field level agronomists; researchers at universities; high ranking ministry officials; liaise with country and global NGO entities relevant to research and promotion activities
Requirements
Education and Experience
MSc or PhD in Agronomy / Soil science (PhD is an advantage)
Experience –min5 years
• Experienced with hands-on on agri field work
• Preferable experience in global/commercial company
• Experience working with overseas customers
Knowledge
• Solid knowledge of fertilization, agronomy and soil science
Skills
• Ready to travel extensively
• High interpersonal communication skills
• Fluent in professional English (oral, writing)
• Fast and thorough thinker; analytical capacity
• Computer skills
Languages: Chinese and English
Organizational Chart
Reports to potash manager China (He Ming) and professionally to CAO (Chief Agronomy Officer)
